HubSpot X LinkedIn
Ambassador Program
I had the opportunity to work with HubSpot and LinkedIn for their micro-internship Ambassador program. Through this position, I attended training sessions on inbound marketing and LinkedIn-specific marketing and earned several HubSpot and LinkedIn certifications.
The most exciting portion of this internship was pairing with a client to run a $1,000 LinkedIn inbound marketing campaign. I created graphics, adjusted target audiences and variables, and interpreted the statistics/return using the LinkedIn campaign manager for Jacob Ratliff Consulting.

Goal: To reach the target audience of e-commerce entrepreneurs with Jacob Ratliff’s offer of increasing email subscribers through his marketing services.
Audience: Because e-commerce entrepreneurs are a large audience, we narrowed it down by limiting audience attributes. We limited the location to the U.S., job titles to entrepreneur and founder, company size to 1-10, and company industry to retail.
Bidding: I used manual bidding with a lifetime spend cap of $1,000 to prevent overspending. Additionally, I started the bidding at a few dollars to find the minimum we could spend to reach the most.
Type of Ad: Single-image ads with two image variations but the same copy to ensure an accurate representation of which image was most effective.
Results:
Impressions: 11,544
Average click-through rate: .31%
Website visits: 26 total, 3-4 a day
After reviewing these and the specific image statistics, I recommended how to proceed with ads. Some recommendations included focusing on a particular field with a high CTR and using more images that mention free training, as those images had higher engagement.
The two ads we ran are displayed. I created drafts, and Ratliff made copy and graphic adjustments to fit his vision.
